Come to the Village Library on March 28 for a sensory-friendly arts and crafts activity time. There will be accommodations for those who are neurodivergent, including small class size, low lighting, low noise, and activities that can be adjusted to the child’s needs and abilities. This program is geared toward children 5-11 years of age, and registration is required and limited to 8 children. The child's caretaker must remain present and assist their child as needed throughout the entire activity.

This program is brought to you through a partnership between The Village Arts Association (TVAA) and The Village Library.

"Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one "right" way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits" (Harvard Health Publishing 2021).

Neurodivergent brains may include: Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Meares-Irlen Syndrome, Hyperlexia, Tourette Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Synesthesia, Anxiety, and more.
